•             Average sales price ($184,529) is 9 percent higher than October 2012.

•             There were 2,363 homes sales  - 4 percent higher than October 2012 (2,082).

•             Home inventory is down 4 percent compared to October 2012.

•             Pending sales were 9 percent lower for October 2013 (1,714) vs. October 2012 (1,884).

•             The supply is 5.0 months;  lower than October 2012(5.8).  A 5.0 month supply represents the lowest end of a balanced market.

Inventory is down 16%

Supply went down 2 more months worth&is at just 4.8 months of supply, leaning towards a sellers market

Prices are UP 8%

# of sales is UP 20%

Inventory is down 17%

Supply is down to just 6.4 months which is the lowest level we have seen since the summer of 2007!!!

March statistics continue to indicate that the market is coming around. It seems pretty obvious w/ everything selling quickly, multiple offers on good listings, & our overall activity!! Attached are the latest facts&stats:

Prices are UP 3-4% over March of last year.

# Sales are UP 14-15%

Inventory is DOWN 15%

7.2 Months supply of inventory gives buyers a slight edge but its considerably less than the 8.9 months supply we had last year!

FREE Trees for Overland Park Residents!!!

FREE Trees for Overland Park Residents:

 As part of the annual Arbor Day recognition, Overland Park and members of its Legacy of Greenery Committee will be giving away seedlings.

From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 7, volunteers from the Committee, and Friends of the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, will distribute free tree and shrub seedlings to residents.

You can receive your free seedlings and shrubs at the Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty; Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell; and the Overland Park Arboretum, 8909 179th St. The giveaways will be bare root and come with instructions on planting and maintenance.

There will be a mix of deciduous and evergreen trees and a few shrubs.
Tree varieties include baldcypress, lacebark elm, sugar maple, sawtooth oak, redbud, crabapple, Serbian Spruce and Colorado blue spruce. Shrub varieties include golden currant, Oriental arborvitae and lilac.
